Devices
These guides show you how to register a device with Fundamentum, connect it to the platform and send it data. They're written for firmware and integration teams building the device side.
Start with Provisioning to pick a registration method. Then connect the device and start publishing. If you'd rather not implement the protocol yourself, use one of the Edge components.
In this section
- Provisioning: choose how your devices get registered in a registry.
-
Self-provisioning: the device registers itself with its registry's token.
-
Shelf devices and provisioning keys: pre-register devices at the factory, then assign them to a registry.
-
LoRaWAN devices: join LoRaWAN devices through the built-in Join Server.
-
- Connect over MQTTS: connect with TLS, the device client ID and a signed JWT.
- Send telemetry, states and heartbeats: publish to the device topics.
- HTTPS alternative: send telemetry over HTTPS with the same device JWT.
- Gateways and sub-devices: report for sub-devices and beacons from one gateway.
