Data routing
Fundamentum carries everything your devices send, and the events the platform itself produces, on per-project topics. These guides show you how to route that data, push it to your own systems as it arrives, and bring messages back in.
Data moves in two ways:
- Pushed as it arrives: connectors deliver topic messages to your MQTT broker or your HTTPS endpoint. The device broker stays isolated: your systems never connect to it.
- On demand: latest values and state history through the Public API, analytics in SQL through Insight.
In this section
- Topics: per-project topics, your own topics, platform event streams, and how device messages reach them.
- Connectors: deliver topic messages to your MQTT broker (mutual TLS supported) or your HTTPS endpoint.
- Inbound flows: publish messages into the platform from your broker, or POST them over HTTPS through the Public API.
To transform data, see Cloud functions. To query it in SQL, see Query your data with Insight.
